MEET OUR FOUNDER

Dr. Alexis Quinoy,

Pediatric Psychologist & Founder

Licensed Psychologist & Board-Certified Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychologist, PhD, ABPP

Dr. Alexis Quinoy, PhD, ABPP, is a licensed psychologist and board-certified clinical child and adolescent psychologist specializing in pediatric medical psychology, rehabilitation psychology, and evidence-based therapy for children, adolescents, and families navigating medical conditions, neurological injury, and complex emotional challenges. She offers bilingual psychological services in English and Spanish for Atlanta families and those throughout PSYPACT participating states.

Dr. Quinoy earned her PhD in Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University. Her clinical training included a predoctoral internship at Children’s Hospital Colorado in Denver, Colorado, and a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville, Florida. She holds board certification in Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology (ABPP). Her specialized training includes pediatric rehabilitation psychology, trauma-informed care, and evidence-based treatment for children with medical and neurological conditions.

Her approach blends evidence-based therapeutic techniques with a deep understanding of how medical experiences shape a child's development, behavior, and emotional life — creating a space where children feel genuinely understood and where families receive the practical guidance they need. Each session is tailored to the child's developmental stage, medical history, and family context, helping them build real coping skills, emotional regulation, and lasting resilience.

Before founding Camino, Dr. Quinoy spent over a decade working with children and families in pediatric hospital and rehabilitation settings — including Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. Through that work, she witnessed firsthand the gap between hospital-based care and the ongoing psychological support many families need once they return home.

After years of helping children and families navigate some of their most difficult medical experiences, Dr. Quinoy recognized a recurring challenge: families often left the hospital with excellent medical care but limited access to specialized psychological support. Camino Pediatric Psychology & Consulting was created to help bridge that gap, providing thoughtful, evidence-based care that supports children and families as they adjust, heal, and move forward.

Outside of her clinical work, she’s a reader, a traveler, and a mother of three — which means she understands what family life actually looks like. She believes that with the right support, even the most overwhelming seasons of family life can become more manageable — and more meaningful.

Thoughtful, Specialized, Collaborative

Our Approach to Pediatric Psychology

Care at Camino is evidence-based, developmentally informed, and built around the understanding that no two children — and no two families — are alike.

Dr. Quinoy draws on trauma-informed care principles, evidence-based therapeutic techniques, and a deep integration of medical and psychological perspectives to create a space where children feel safe, understood, and genuinely supported. Every care plan is tailored to your child's unique history, needs, and goals — not a checklist, not a protocol, but a thoughtful and individualized path forward.

All sessions are offered virtually via HIPAA-compliant telehealth, serving families throughout Atlanta, Georgia, and PSYPACT participating states.

Whether you're navigating a new diagnosis, supporting a child through recovery, or simply recognizing that something feels harder than it should, you don't have to find your way through it alone. We're here, and we're ready when you are.
