Our Policies

Appointments

All sessions are conducted virtually via HIPAA-compliant telehealth. Standard sessions are 50 minutes. Extended sessions and consultation services are available — details discussed at the initial consultation.

Rates

Camino Pediatric Psychology & Consulting is a private pay practice. Fee information for the comprehensive intake session and ongoing sessions is available upon inquiry. A complimentary 15-minute initial consultation is offered at no charge — reach out directly and we'll walk you through what to expect.

Payments

All fees are processed securely through SimplePractice. Camino Pediatric Psychology & Consulting accepts credit and debit cards, as well as HSA and FSA cards. A valid card is required to be kept on file for session fees and cancellation charges.

Cancellations

Please provide at least 48 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice, or missed appointments without advance notice, will be charged the full session fee. We appreciate your understanding — advance notice allows us to offer that time to another family in need of support. Exceptions may be made at Dr. Quinoy's discretion for acute illness or medical emergencies.

Insurance

Camino Pediatric Psychology & Consulting does not bill insurance directly. Upon request, a superbill — an itemized receipt with the relevant billing codes — can be provided for you to submit to your insurance provider for potential out-of-network reimbursement. We encourage families to contact their insurance company before starting services to understand their out-of-network mental health benefits.

Telehealth & Technology

All sessions are conducted via SimplePractice, a HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform. Clients are asked to participate from a private, quiet location where they can speak freely. In the event of a technology disruption during a session, Dr. Quinoy will attempt to reconnect and will follow up by phone if needed. Telehealth services are available to families in Georgia and all PSYPACT participating states.

Minor Consent & Parental Authorization

Because Camino Pediatric Psychology & Consulting serves children and adolescents, a parent or legal guardian must provide consent for treatment. In cases of divorce or separation, the consenting parent or guardian may be asked to provide documentation confirming legal authority to authorize psychological services. Both parents with legal custody generally have the right to access their child's records unless a court order specifies otherwise. Where developmentally appropriate, a child's assent is also sought as part of the treatment process.

Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate

Under the federal No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining the expected cost of your child's care. Camino Pediatric Psychology & Consulting provides every family a Good Faith Estimate before the first appointment, and upon request at any time. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your estimate, you can dispute it. For questions or more information, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or ask us — we're happy to walk you through it.

HIPAA, Consent to Treatment

All services at Camino Pediatric Psychology & Consulting are fully HIPAA compliant. Client records and communications are managed in accordance with federal privacy regulations. Camino Pediatric Psychology may use HIPAA-compliant, AI-assisted tools to support clinical documentation — clients are informed of this as part of the intake consent process. Your privacy is protected by law, with limited exceptions related to safety — these are reviewed in full before sessions begin. A HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices and Consent to Treatment will be provided as part of your intake paperwork.
